e-Buyers: Finding, Representing & Transacting
Buyer Brokerage - Buyer Agency - Online
Buyers - eBuyers - Internet Buyers
Change itself and the resistance thereto is frequently under-
estimated. However, the Internet has created a permanence
of change within the "Old Economy," moving faster,
informing more and above all promising to create cost savings.
It is so big that it has already spawned a new language of
its own, became a major recreational activity, launched new
magazines and even prompted government intervention.
e-Buyer is a new six-hour course created by Stefan Swanepoel
and Tom Mitchell (RealSure, Inc.) on behalf of the Real Estate
Buyers Agent Council (REBAC). The goal is to assist Realtors®
to advance to the next technology knowledge level and to discover
the journey of conducting real estate business online. The
course assumes that Realtors® have already mastered the
basics of a personal computer and the Internet as well as
already have a website and email. e-Buyer builds on that by
focusing on helping Realtors® to better understand and
prepare themselves to find, communicate, represent, market
to and ultimately transact business with, the new emerging
online home buyer.
e-Buyer was unveiled in November 2001 at the National Association
of Realtors® International Business Conference in Chicago
and will be offered nationwide by REBAC in 2002.
